A WORD FROM THE MASTER

The rules within which the Hunt operates to control foxes have been carefully designed in compliance with the Protection of Wild Mammals (Scotland) Act 2002.  Under the Master of Foxhounds Association protocol, the Scottish Hunts have operated successfully for five seasons.  The only attempts to prosecute by those opposed to what we do have failed either in court or before the cases got there.  We believe that it is possible to preserve the fun and traditions of fox-hunting within the current legislation.  Our activities allow us to ride across broad swathes of country in conditions that are not achievable in any other way, in the company of people and horses who are all set on having a good time.  We hope that if you choose to join us you will have many enjoyable days with the Eglinton Foxhounds.
